Early Life and Education
Natasha, affectionately known as “Tasha,” was the daughter of Jeff and Lisa (Chase) Adkins. She was baptized at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Chokio and later confirmed her faith at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Growing up in Willmar, she graduated from Willmar High School in 2009. During high school, Natasha actively participated in the Cardettes Dance Team, volleyball, track, and FFA, showcasing her vibrant spirit and leadership qualities.
Professional Achievements
Pursuing her passion for nursing, Natasha earned her LPN degree from Ridgewater College, her RN from Rasmussen College in St. Cloud, and eventually her BSN from Mankato State University. Her commitment to mental health led her to achieve a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Degree from the University of North Dakota in August 2023. In November 2023, Natasha began her role at CentraCare Rice Memorial Hospital as a PMHNP, where she was known for her heartfelt dedication to patient care.
Family and Personal Life
On July 7, 2012, Natasha married Matthew Fester at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. The couple was blessed with four children: Mason (12), Marshel (8), Maxton (5), and McKinley (3). Natasha’s family was the center of her world. She was their loudest cheerleader at sporting events and go-kart races, always offering the best hugs and unwavering support. Her bond with her father was particularly special, earning her the nickname “Harold.”
Interests and Community Involvement
Natasha’s zest for life was evident in her numerous hobbies. She enjoyed demo derbies and stock car racing and was often immersed in DIY projects inspired by Pinterest. Her kind heart extended beyond her family, as she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Survived By
Natasha is survived by her husband, Matthew; their children: Mason, Marshel, Maxton, and MaKinlee; her parents, Jeff and Lisa Adkins; her brother, Trenton (Jen) Adkins, and their children Quinn and Leighton; her father-in-law, Marion Fester; her mother-in-law, Jori Berzins; and sisters-in-law: Stacy (Nick) Danielson and their children Gavin, Loretta, and Bode; and Abby (Andrew) Christensen and their children Aiden, Ashton, and Ayla.
Funeral Services
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on March 18, 2024, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Visitation occurred on March 17, 2024, at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. Memorials were preferred to the “Fester children,” ensuring support for the family Natasha cherished deeply.
